This position, under the supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications, information, and other pharmaceutical products to Phoenix Children’s patients. Duties are performed in accordance with all applicable Arizona Board of Pharmacy statutes and rules and department policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisors. This position also receives supervision from Clinical Pharmacists, Lead Pharmacists, and Lead Pharmacy Technicians. This position does not supervise any other positions.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or outpatient pharmacy setting. (Preferred)
Certifications
Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arizona. (Required)
Nationally Certified by PTCB or NHA (National Healthcareer Association). (Required)
Special Skills
Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative and effective working relationships with all members of the pharmacy and patient care team and ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet assigned goals. (Required)
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. (Required)
Demonstrated excellence in provision of customer service. (Required)
Experience with pharmacy information software and POS systems. (Preferred)
Bilingual in English/Spanish - Preferred but NOT required. (Preferred)
