Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Under limited supervision, this role provides leadership and direction for medication safety and safety improvement strategies. The Medication Safety Coordinator (MSC) is responsible for the coordination of activities related to medication safety as outlined in the UM UCH Patient Safety Program. Activities include but are not limited to reporting, system and process evaluation, formulation of recommendations and initiatives, and education. In addition, the individual will assist with the management of the UM UCH Event Reporting System. The MSC will work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
