The role you’ll contribute:
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor may have direct reports as well as has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician PDO/sick coverage and technician assignments. Other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. If applicable for the facility, information that may be accessed include, but not limited to; pharmacy charge data, CDM databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts, data files, and personnel and compensation data.

Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
• Accurately reviews electronic reports
• Maintains expertise in electronic report processes
Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patientspecific medication doses
• Manages medication delivery activities
• Prepares accurate medication products for delivery
• Prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when preparing products for final check
• Performs oral and injectable product compounding if applicable
Supervises technician and intern practice
• Maintains competency to perform technician duties and roles as needed
• Prioritizes workload, organizes workflow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities
• Intervenes as needed to optimize the patient-centered pharmacy services provided in/by practice area
Pharmacy Practice
Supports patientcentered care services
• Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications
• Prepares and delivers accurate, safe and timely medication
• Places practice priority on the delivery of patientcentered care
• Partners with pharmacist to improve quality and safety of patient care
• Provides medication histories as needed
Works as an active member of pharmacy programs and multidisciplinary team

Schedule and Human Resources Management
