SUMMARY OF POSITION: Collaborate with internal staff to achieve the required accreditation standards and quality metric goals to ensure compliance and consistency with the laws governing the Specialty Pharmacy Program.
Bachelor's degree with 3 years clinical practice experience in Pharmacy required. Active and valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license or eligibility required. Training and/or experience in medication safety, quality improvement, performance improvement, regulatory and accreditation compliance required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of pharmacy operations within a hospital and outpatient settings required. Knowledge of TJC medications management standards, PA DOH regulations, CMS regulations, and other medication related requirements required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Word processing skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Ability to analyze data, effectively manage and conduct performance improvement initiatives, facilitate committees and multiple projects required. Project management ability required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PGY 1 and PGY2 in Medication Safety preferred. ISMP Fellowship or other Medication Safety specific training preferred.
