The Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining files, processing paperwork, completing special projects and answering telephones.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Assists in creating memorandums, reports, letters and documents.
Organizes and files records accordingly.
Assists with the organization and inventory of supplies.
Opens, sorts, and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail as needed.
Answers telephones, direct calls, and takes messages.
Reviews records, files and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
Works effectively with clinical record information system and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of the system including upgrades and enhancements
Work with team members in a courteous and respectful manner, respond appropriately to staff and client requests for assistance and maintain positive relationships.
Ability to function in an environment that includes varying and unpredictable circumstances while exercising appropriate interpersonal and critical thinking skills in an atmosphere with frequent interruptions and changes in work load priority.
